WORLD SAILING OCEAN HEROES

At the ENP participants took part in 3 workshops, learning about ocean pollution, and the crisis facing our planet’s waters. An additional workshop at the Youth World Championships welcomed sailors and coaches from a range of classes and countries to join the Ocean Heroes campaign and commit to becoming Ocean Heroes.

In total attendees joined from 23 countries from Sweden to Ecuador, Canada to Colombia, Slovakia to Antigua.

Following these workshops the World Sailing Trust and Ocean Heroes Partners developed a bespoke online platform, where youth sailors can sign up to join a global community of Ocean Heroes, campaigning in their local area to protect their sailing waters.

This year’s activity is the beginning of a partnership which will harness the energy and passion of our youth sailors to protect our planet’s waters.
