Virtual Regatta is the leading sailing race simulator and has seen significant growth in recent years. The game is split into Offshore and Inshore. The offshore game is a real-time, real weather conditions routing game, and works alongside major events and ocean races, such as the America’s Cup and The Vendee Globe. The most recent edition of the Vendee Globe saw 1.1 million concurrent users.

The Inshore game is a fleet racing game, which also works alongside major events such as SailGP. In partnership with World Sailing, the inaugural eSailing World Championship was run in 2018. This is now an annual event crowns the top eSailor in the World. The eSailing Nations Cup was launched in 2020, the first of its kind in eSailing this is a team event, crowning the top eSailing National Team in the world. In 2020, the finals for both were broadcast on the Olympic Channel, the first time an eSport was broadcast by the International Olympic Committe

Ocean Heroes Bootcamp was conceived by Captain Planet Foundation and Lonely Whale with the goal of empowering the next generation of ocean health leaders, and supported by Founding Partner Point Break Foundation.

World Sailing is the world governing body for the sport of sailing and has 145 Members National Authorities. It is responsible for promoting sailing internationally, managing international competitions and setting the rules they are governed by. World Sailing has established the World Sailing Trust to further its ambition to grow sailing, widen access and protect the waters we depend on.
